The Gospel for Sunday, January 29th, the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time is The Beatitudes, the beginning of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. There are 23 sections of The Sermon on the Mount. There are 24 days between Sunday, January 29th and Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Spend these days listening to Jesus preach His Sermon on the Mount to you. What is Jesus saying to you? How do you want to respond to Him? How do you want to live differently? On Day 24, make your prayer, fasting and almsgiving commitments for Lent. Day 25 is Ash Wednesday; come to Mass and live The Sermon on the Mount.
The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend has reserved spots for middle school and high school youth from our diocese with Catholic Youth Summer Camp - Great Lakes, a summer camp by Damascus Missionaries. CYSC Great Lakes will be hosted at Our Lady of the Fields camp in 2023, a newly renovated facility located just 30 minutes north of Ann Arbor in Brighton, Michigan. Strengthen your marriage from the comfort of your own home with The Marriage Course Online! Featuring “regular” couples and relationship experts from around the world, this free eight-week program will take place online through Zoom on Thursday evenings from 8:00-10:00pm. from Feb. 9 through March 23. There is no group discussion. Instead, time will be built into each session for you and your spouse to discuss the topic in the privacy of your own home using prompts from The Marriage Course journal. Topics include strengthening connection; the art of communication; resolving conflict; the power of forgiveness; the impact of family; good sex; and love in action.
